Through her studies, Emily Cameron has developed an aesthetic that is visually recognisable for use of bright colour, sculptural forms and playful details.
Emily’s graduate womenswear collection is inspired by Takashi Murakami’s ‘Superflat’ art movement, and explores the relationship between the 2D and 3D through the use of print, embellishment and silhouette. The title “Everything in between” alludes to the blurring of lines between the finite 2D and 3D labels within fashion, with the work proposing unique combinations of the two. Materials and technique drive Emily’s design process, as well as ‘flat’ methods of construction and design development.
Emily Cameron completed the Bachelor of Fashion (Design)(Honours) at RMIT University in 2016.
