A warped fashion sense project

Subjective and non‐universal notions of taste are what form the foundations of his collection, where he juxtaposes aspirations and imitations with luxury fashion ideas of ‘generalised good taste’.

I’m interested in where these blurry lines cross, ‘a warped fashion sense’. This collection attempts to hold a mirror to changes in an increasingly image obsessed society, charting an exaggerated self‐awareness in modern expressions of straight masculinity – those previously aligned to clichéd stereotypes of gay men’s dress and femininity. This collection is working with pastiches of archetypal garments and menswear genres, referencing a feminised cut, detail, fabrication and body reveal.
